A huge welcome to all y’all to the East Coast Slang Heritage site! This site was created out of the love for the East Coast, slang and the heritage that created it. The plan is to share information on our heritage, culture, slang, sayings, folklore, authentic foods, interesting places and stuff we do. In the process; we hope to create a community and an avenue to celebrate anything that influenced that.

We all have familiar sayings from our home life. It’s so natural to us that we are not even aware of some of it! Slang evolves with time, gets forgotten, meanings change and some are just no longer popular. We need to keep it alive! So; my intention is to celebrate us and reminisce about the slang and the sayings we all share. Have you forgotten yer fond sayings? Do you miss hearing it? The reflecting back and remembering will be sure to make you smile!
Heritage
What we say;and how we say it, is deep rooted from our ancestors, heritage and culture. Traditions and sayings were passed along; to generations, by word of mouth. Our families, friends and lifestyles all contribute to who we are. The accents and dialects vary but sure puts a colorful spin to it all. So lets celebrate us and share our memories.
