Hello to all. My name is Kerry and I am proud to say I am an East Coaster; born and raised. You can find me in the picturesque southeast cornor of New Brunswick living life on the shoreline. However; my beginnings were in a small town on the beautiful North Shore of NB; along the mighty Restigouche River and Bay Chaleur. “There’s no shore like the North Shore that’s for sure.”

East Coast Roots
My heritage is found in both my Mom’s Irish heritage(Keays/Little) and my Dad’s Scottish roots(Robinson/Hall). They all arrived in East Coast Canada from Ireland during the unsettling times; in the early 1700’s. Industry and trade had Mom’s ancestors settle in Galway NB(Little) and Escuminac Quebec(Keays/Little). Ancestry research indicated the Littles(Galway) were one of the earliest pioneer families homesteading in the Rexton area. As shipbuilders and millwrights by trade; opportunity soon took them to Escuminac, Quebec, on the Gaspe Coast. My Scottish ancestors(Dad’s) first settled and farmed on land grants in Waterford NB (just outside Sussex); in the early 1700’s. My Dad’s people later settled in Penobsquis NB where he grew up. Mom and Dad settled in Northern NB where I grew up. That is my East Coast connection. Share yours with me. Just maybe our ancestors worked side by side?

Mission
So you see; my mission here is about connecting, gathering and creating a community of East Coasters. We celebrate our heritage and reminisce about our East Coast living. Tag along with me!
